MANCHESTER, UK: ‘The Circle’ Season 5 released a fresh batch of episodes for fans to sit back and binge. During an exciting trivia game where the players were divided into two teams, Marvin was posed with the question, “What is the first element of the periodic table?” by the 'The Circle'. While for the chemical engineer, the question was easy to answer because of his background in the sciences, the other players seemed to be dumbstruck trying to guess the answers. As most of the contestants fumbled with their answers, fans quickly noted that the question imposed onto Marvin was actually one of the easiest to answer and was a fifth-grade level science question, something that most people should know.

Noting their observations on Twitter, fans seemed to express their angry response to the contestants’ lack of awareness. One social media user pointed out, “HOW DOES NO ONE ON THE CIRCLE KNOW THE FIRST ELEMENT ON THE PERIODIC TABLE. DUMBBAA***S. I LOVE MARVIN.” And another added, “The Circle infuriates me. Everyone who graduated from high school should know that Hydrogen is the first element on the periodic table. Just because Marvin is a personal trainer doesn’t mean he SHOULDNT know that?! I’m a historian and I know that. From GRADE SCHOOL. It’s not sus.”

A netizen also chimed in with: “Screaming at only the scientist in the Circle knowing that hydrogen is the first element on the periodic table! Can’t believe this could be the thing that outs him as not just a bodybuilder.” While one laughed, “Circle: What’s the first element in the periodic table? Sam: (counting) Earth, water…” One viewer noted, “i’m watching the circle and are these trivia questions picked from a Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader quiz?? how is marvin the only one who know Hydrogen is the first element all these questions easy.” A Twitter user even penned, “I’m watching the circle and like there was a question that goes like “what’s the first element on the periodic table” all the Americans go H2O, CO2 and earth. It was the Nigerian’s turn to answer and he just goes like Hydrogen and they’re like no ur wrong like –"
