Ahead of the elimination task, Cory said he wanted to win it for his kids

On 'The Challenge: Double Agents' this week, the elimination challenge took center stage. Cory Wharton was up against four-time champion Darrell Taylor in the Snapping Point task, which he won fair and square. It was a treat to watch him pace the crater and reach the buzzer twice in a row, beating his opponent 2-1. The task was a high-pressure situation for both contestants. Darrell had to live up to his legacy, while Cory desperately needed his first win and gold skull, which has been dubbed as 'the ticket to finale.'

Ahead of the task, Cory said he was doing for the kids back home and hopefully he can make them proud. While most viewers were emotional that he was being such a doting dad, some had no idea who his children were.

'The Challenge' Spoilers: Will Cory Wharton break his 'curse' and pick up gold skull? Here's an elimination twist

Over the past few years, Cory has been with two women - Cheyenne Floyd and Taylor Selfridge. While the former is an old flame, with Taylor he seems to have found true love and happiness. Cory is a father to 3-year-old Ryder and Mila, who will turn one on April 22, 2021.

"Just sitting here driving thinking about how lucky I am to have Cheyenne as a mother to Ryder and have Taylor as a mother to Mila," he gushed on Twitter earlier this year and added: "Ya boy got lucky they are both excellent Mothers. Some of my boys are stuck in a situation I’m just glad I’m not."

Cory and Cheyenne dated briefly after they first met on 'The Challenge' in 2016. He didn't know Ryder was his daughter until six months after he was born. But once he did, Cory has tried to be there for his family. With Taylor, he has had an on-again-off-again relationship for years until they finally decided to reunite in 2019 and take it to the next level.
Meanwhile, fans are genuinely surprised that Cory is a father.

"I genuinely don’t even know who tf I want to win this elimination. I love Darrell but Cory cool too. And they both doing it for their kids. I’m STRESSED #TheChallenge36," one fan commented, while another shared: "cory has a family & kids at home?? damn he should’ve mentioned that sooner #TheChallenge36." "I lowkey wish Cory would go home cus I’m tired of the kids storyline but that’s not happening #TheChallenge36," another posted.
