'The Challenge' Spoilers: Will Cory Wharton break his 'curse' and pick up gold skull? Here's an elimination twist
As 'The Challenge: Double Agents' inches towards a finale, contestants must buckle up and take any chance they may have to pick up gold skulls. Most have it, some were robbed of it, a few need it, especially Cory Wharton. Since the show's premiere, he has changed six partners, Gabby Allen being the recent one. She was eliminated by Nany Gonzalez.
At this point, the obvious question to ask is: Is Cory caught in a curse? Every time he partnered with someone new, they got eliminated shortly after. Tori Deal was the only 'The Challenge' alum who was with him for three weeks straight. Ashley Mitchell, Theresa Jones, and Amber Martinez were defeated in elimination tasks held within a week of partnering up with Cory. Natalie Anderson, however, had to quit after she found out she was pregnant. While 'The Cory Curse' may serve as fodder for light-hearted conversations, it may have serious implications. If the said agent is not able to break free of it, he may never find his gold skull aka ticket to the finale.

But it's looking good for Cory in episode 14. At least, that is what a Fandom report has to say. Since it was a female elimination in episode 13, this week will see the men fight it out. Reportedly, Cory beat Darrell Taylor in the Snapping Point task. From what we know so far, there are three more eliminations scheduled before the agents enter the much-awaited finals.
After Gabby left, Cory and Tula 'Big T' Fazakerley paired up. Will she bring with her luck and a few wins? Only time will tell. But they are both raring to go. Cory has not been very active on the show and therefore, itching for a win. While Big T is still sour from the snub courtesy ex-partner Chris 'CT' Tamburello. And that's motivation. Personal beef aside, what Big T brings to the mix is a boatload of experience in making strategic moves, a skill she picked up during her partnership with CT.
