'The Blacklist' Season 7 Episode 11 will not be aired this week, but here is when NBC series will be back after fall break

The Task Force and Red believe that Katarina is dead and that they can put all these mysteries behind them, especially since Liz had promised to Red that she would not look into her past because when she did it put his life at risk.

To say that the previously aired Season 7 Episode 10 of ‘The Blacklist’ was a painstaking experience, primarily because of Liz’s (Megan Boone) actions. Every step of the way, it was infuriating to watch Liz, especially since she has decided to side with her murderous biological mother who she is estranged from and turn against the father (or father figure) who has protected her, her entire life. In the episode titled 'Katarina Rastova', which also happened to be the mid-season finale, we saw how Liz double-crossed the Task Force and Red (James Spader) to protect Katarina (Laila Robins) and even helped her escape.

It was pretty frustrating to watch all the build-up towards Katarina's capture only to have no pay-off at least in the first half of Season 7. However, we do know that the story is far from over because we are yet to find out what Katarina is searching for, and a secret that has been plaguing us for seven whole seasons — Is Red Liz's real father? The Task Force and Red believe that Katarina is dead and that they can put all these mysteries behind them, especially since Liz had promised to Red that she would not look into her past because when she did it put his life at risk.

However, we know better and so does Liz, because Katarina had called her after her fake death to inform her daughter that she is still alive and that the distraction was a necessary measure to ensure her safety. In the call, Katarina also promised her daughter that she would come back for her — it may take a week or a month, but she will come back for her because she is not willing to lose her again. Liz is under strict instructions to not mention to anyone that Katarina is alive, and she promises she would, considering she is a "Rastova".

Would Liz be able to keep this promise? Will Red find out Liz betrayed him again? Will the Task Force support Liz's decision to go against Red? Will Katarina find the answers she is looking for? We have a long wait ahead of us before we find out, seeing as the show is going on a fall break. The NBC series will return with the mid-season premiere in March of 2020, and with it, we will hopefully get the answers to all our burning questions.
