'The Bachelorette': Inside Nayte Olukoya and Rodney Mathews' budding bromance
Winning 'The Bachelorette's heart is seldom guaranteed. After all, 30 men find themselves competing for one woman's hand. It's not exactly easy to make a lasting impression. Plus, there is the added pressure of standing out on group dates. And, if you're unable to score a solo date, you might as well walk yourself out.
Regardless of how a season goes down, it is not uncommon for the men to walk away with lasting friendships. After all, these men do end up spending a considerable amount of time with each other -- a few bromances are bound to blossom. It looks like Season 18 is no exception either!

Season 18 saw the first set of the top 4 to be all POCs, and it was certainly something to be celebrated. With Rodney Mathews, Brandon Jones, Nayte Olukoya and Joe Coleman making it to hometowns, Michelle had the chance to meet all their families and gauge what a future with them would be like. However, she still had to eliminate one out of the four and unfortunately, Rodney didn't make the cut.
Although he seems to have gotten the underdog edit in general, Rodney is easily a fan-favourite, with many fans wondering why he wasn't made the next 'Bachelor' as he was dubbed the perfect 'husband material'. And while Rodney might not be walking off into the sunset with Michelle, he certainly has made some lasting friendships along the way. The reality star recently took to Instagram to talk about how the show has helped him gain new friends and a bromance in particular.
This special bond that he formed was with none other than Nayte Olukoya. In his Instagram stories, Rodney mentioned that they are 'roommates for life' and 'brothers for life'. Nayte also took to Instagram, announcing that Rodney was 'his brother for motherf--king life', as they gushed about their friendship.
While Nayte might be the one to walk away with Michelle, it looks like it's not all heartbreak for Rodney, seeing that he gained an important friendship along the way. The dup seemed to joke about their secret romance and clearly seem to get along particularly well, despite how to season went. Here's hoping to see more of them on social media, having fun and being 'brothers for life'!
