'The Bachelor': Will Bri Springs steal the crown? Rachael Kirkconnell's racism scandal draws attention to fans
Last week on 'The Bachelor', Rachael Kirkconnell finally found herself a one-on-one date with season lead Matt James. The season has been on the air for a couple of weeks and there are a number of spoilers already floating around, including the name of the winner.
For the uninitiated, Matt James was seen spending a lot of one-on-one time with his other suitresses, and Rachael couldn't hide her disappointment over this. Other women, including fan favorites Abigail Heringer and Katie Thurston, were disappointed by the fact that others got the chance for a private audience with Matt but them.

Coming back to Rachael, her date with Matt was what dreams are made of, at least for the women at the Bachelor mansion, who couldn't help but gawk at the shopping bags she was carrying on each arm, thought. The grand finale of her was the red bottom shoes that Matt bought for her, something that the girls envied the most.
During the date, Matt and Rachael had opened up about their feelings towards each other. Rachael initiated the conversation and she looked overjoyed when she discovered that Matt was on the same page as her and was clear that it was a stepping stone towards their forever after, or at least as far as the show is considered.
However, Rachael's moment of glory was overshadowed by the heightened exposure to her alleged racist past and Twitter was filled with comments over her not being the best person for Matt.

"If y’all are STILL defending Rachael even though there are multiple instances of racist and racially insensitive behavior from her that has been easily found online, you might be racist too! Reflect on yourself... #TheBachelorABC" read another tweet. "Nah this stuff coming out about Rachael is insane! The woman clearly loves surrounding herself with raging racists. Photo evidence and everything. If Matt chooses her he’s a clown #TheBachelor" read another tweet from hundreds of other ones that state the same.

What did Matt James say about the racist allegations against Rachael Kirkconnell?
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Matt said, “I have not spoken to anybody since the show ended, but I would say that you have to be really careful about what you are doing on social media." What he says next might be one of the reasons that add weight to another theory that's been floating around already that states Bri Springs is the one who he chooses in the end.
"Rumors are dark and nasty and can ruin people’s lives. So I would give people the benefit of the doubt, and hopefully, she will have her time to speak on that.”
Could Bri Springs really end up with Matt James because Reality Steve also had pointed it out once?
After revealing the names of the final four women from Matt James's season and declaring that Rachael is the winner, "I still haven’t gotten the confirmation I need in terms of Rachael, but what I was told post-show, everyone in Cumming, GA running their mouth and saying Matt chose Rachael, along now with the Spotify slip-up, it certainly is pointing in that direction. Have I also been told he picked Bri? Yeah, I have. So clearly he didn’t pick two people, meaning one of those is flat out wrong. That’s why I say I’m trying to confirm things. Signs point to Rachael. I’m just looking for something even more solid than what’s out there," Reality Steve said in his blog.
Will Bri Springs steal the crown from Rachael Kirkconnell after the racism scandal? Only time can tell.
