HBO has a knack for treating its viewers with engaging content and sometimes they come out with such an unusual project that viewers can’t seem to get enough of it. The network is set to come out with a horror-comedy that will absolutely make you feel you feel a bit eerie.

Titled ‘The Baby, the show revolves around a woman named Natasha (Michelle De Swarte) who is getting frustrated that all her friends are having babies. However, her life turns upside down when she finds a baby and decides to take the baby with her. The baby seems to be a devil in disguise and goes on a killing spree. Although she wants to get rid of the baby, the baby definitely wants her.

When does ‘The Baby release and where can you watch it

The horror-comedy series will be premiering exclusively on HBO on Sunday, April 24, at 10:30 pm EST. The show will also be available to stream on HBO Max. Viewers who don’t have HBO, worry not, you can watch the channel on various streaming services such as YouTube TV and Hulu TV.

What is ‘The Baby’ all about?

The official synopsis reads, “Natasha, who is furious that her closest friends are all having babies. But when she is unexpectedly landed with a baby of her own, her life dramatically implodes. Controlling, manipulative, but incredibly cute, the baby twists Natasha’s life into a surreal horror show. As she discovers the true extent of the baby’s deadly nature, Natasha makes increasingly desperate attempts to get rid of it. She doesn’t want a baby. But the baby definitely wants her.”

Who stars in HBO’s horror-comedy?

Michelle De Swarte will be seen playing the lead role of Natasha. Meanwhile, Amira Ghazalla plays the character of Mrs. Eaves on the show.

The London-based actress began her career as a model and appeared on a number of panel shows for Channel 4, BBC, ITV, and Comedy Central. In her career, she has also worked for brands like Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Cartier, Michael Kors, H&M, and Gap. Her first major acting role came in 2020 when she was cast as Bev in the Netflix series ‘The Duchess’.

‘The Baby’ would be her first show as the leading actress.



 

Other actors to feature in the series include Patrice Naiambana (Lyle), Sinead Cusack (Barbara), Tanya Reynolds (Helen), Amber Grappy (Bobbi), and Shvorne Marks (Mags).

Creators

The series has been co-created by Sian Robins-Grace and Lucy Gaymer while Nicole Kassell, Stacey Gregg, Faraz Shariat, and Ella Jones directed multiple episodes for the show.

Jane Featherstone, Carolyn Strauss, and Naomi de Pear serve as executive producers on the show.
