'Temptation Island': Is Corey Sobczyk sad because of Erin Smith's new date? Fans say he's 'too good' for her

Fans are hoping for Corey to find a girl who loves him for who he is, rather than him being fixated on Erin

Participating in Temptation Island's social experiment is definitely not for the weak-hearted and looks like Corey Sobczyk is learning it the hard way. Corey and his girlfriend Erin Smith came on the controversial reality show to get some clarity on the future of their relationship. 

Erin's athletic background and her previous relationships continue to trouble Corey. So, Erin persuaded him to get on 'Temptation Island' so that they both can figure out if they are compatible and good enough for each other and it looks like the show is only making Corey's insecurities even worse. In the latest episode, the couples had to pick a date from among the singles on the island and Erin's pick left Corey heartbroken and upset.

When the host of the show, Mark L Walberg asked the couples to pick a date from among the attractive singles present on the island, it got a bit awkward, as they had to pick their new date in front of their partner. It was first the boys' turn and Corey chose a single named Nicole Ciszak. When it was the girls' turn, Erin walked up to the single boys and chose Griffin Libhart.

Griffin revealed in his introduction that he was an athlete who played football and this instantly set off Corey because Erin had a history of dating athletes especially footballers. So, he immediately began feeling that Erin was already moving on and found herself a guy whose interests are aligned with hers, and seems to be more in tune with her than him. 

So, for the rest of the day Corey could be seen moping around and crying his heart out. Erin, on the other hand, explained that she chose Griffin because he was very attractive and good-looking. Well, looks like trouble has already begun for this couple. After watching Corey pour his heart out over Erin, fans began feeling sorry for him. A fan tweeted, "I want to protect Corey #temptationisland." Many fans also pointed that Corey already knows that his relationship with Erin is over. A fan wrote, "Corey knows it's over with Erin, he should just embrace the process #TemptationIsland." "There seems to be a certain type of lifestyle Erin wants to live that she thinks Corey can't give her. I don't think she's ready for him #TemptationIsland," pointed a fan.

Fans also began hoping for Corey to find a girl who loves him for who he is, rather than him being fixated on Erin. A fan shared, "I need Corey to find a women who doesn’t think he’s boring and loves him just the way he is. #TemptationIsland." Another fan echoed similar thoughts with, "Corey is too good for Erin....I think he's so torn up bc deep down he knows she's going to cheat. #TemptationIsland."
