BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: 'RHOBH' star Teddi Mellencamp has shocked the internet with her new update about her skin excision surgery for melanoma.
Teddi Mellencamp is a TV personality, radio host, and also a podcast host. She is also the daughter of famous musician John Mellencamp.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote, "Someone just messaged me that my scar looks like a whale swallowing bubbles. It made me laugh.
I am not very artistic so I just see a “Z”— what do you see?* *funnyresponsesonly."
Fans appreciated her bravery and blessed her. One wrote, "Ooh bless you. That’s one big scar and you are so brave. Scar tell stories."
Another commented, "Ouch, sending huge prayers for a speedy recovery. Remember you will still be beautiful! Scar will fade with time and you will have memories but your life is worth infinity."
One even posted a funny message to uplift Teddi's mood and wrote, "I see a Zorro mark; I think you’re an adventurous person and you risk; you are fierce."
Another commented, "I also see the whale swallowing bubbles."
Many hailed her as a "warrior" and a "survivor" for batting such a disease.

Why did 'RHOBH' star Teddi Mellencamp undergo a skin excision surgery?
Teddi Mellencamp had to undergo this skin excision surgery for melanoma.
She opened up about being diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. She also mentioned she avoided getting her skin checked before that because of anxiety issues.
It was her co-star Kylie Richards who asked her to get checked when she saw that Teddi's mole was changing colors.
In September 2022, she shared that after her three-month check-up and biopsy, she was diagnosed with melanoma. She then tried immunotherapy cream which didn't work.
The doctors asked her to undergo surgery where a larger portion of the problematic area was to be removed.
Teddi urged others to get their skin checked so that they did not have to face what she had.
The National Cancer Institute stated that almost 100,000 new cases of melanoma were detected in 2023. This can affect any skin type and color. Doctors recommend wearing sunscreen.
The American Cancer Society also recommends regular self-exams and bringing any concerning part to the doctors.

Teddi Mellencamp and husband Edwin Arroyave have three children — Slate, Cruz and Dove. Teddi is also a stepmother to Isabella, Edwin's daughter from a previous relationship.

She feels it's important for children to know what is she undergoing. Teddi said they have been kind and understanding.

Teddi had got plastic surgery and a neck lift in April, 2023. Teddi voiced her discomfort with the sagging skin on her neck.
She had the 'Plastysmaplasty', the neck lift treatment that involves the removal of extra skin and fat from the jawline.
