For the performers on 'SYTYCD', it all boils down to how they tell their story. After all, dance is poetry in motion. The more compelling their performance, the more likely they are to advance forward and it looks like this season, no one is holding back. With the auditions coming to a close, those "who are selected to move on to the 'SYTYCD' studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete each week in a variety of styles, with brand-new twists and turns introduced into the competition."

The auditions so far have been a mixed bag of styles, with participants like Keaton Kermode, Beau Harmon, James T and Brianna impressing the judges with their performances.

Before Waverly Fredericks could take on the stage, he opened up about what dance meant to him. Seeing that his mother performed with the likes of Biggie, Tupac, and LL Cool J, dancing was certainly something he grew up doing. However, he felt as though he had to grow up fast, seeing that when his parents got divorced, he was left to fend for himself, as his mother admitted that his sister and brother needed more help in general. At the age of 7, Waverly struggled to process this change, but dance helped him survive and express himself. Bringing that to the 'SYTYCD' platform, Waverly performed a beautiful contemporary piece that was inspired by breaking cycles and the judges were in absolute awe of his artistry. Fans too, couldn't get enough of his moving performance.

"WHY TF did they put Waverly through to choreography? He’s easily one of the best dancers. He was captivating and didn’t have to do one jump. You can tell he’s trained so do it all. 🤦🏽‍♀️this season is just a mess #SYTYCD" tweeted a fan. "That was such a phenomenal last audition of the season!
