'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 17: Competitors James and Brianna dubbed 'hip hop couple goals'

While James impressed the judges with his moves, Brianna set the stage on fire as well!

For all the dancers who make it to the main stage of 'So You Think You Can Dance', it all boils down to skill, passion and of course, talent! As per the Season 17 synopsis -- "The upcoming season will feature highly skilled dancers between the ages of 18 and 30, showcasing their talents in various dance styles, including contemporary, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, animation, breaking, and more. Those who are selected to move on to the 'SYTYCD' studio will work with world-renowned choreographers and compete each week in a variety of styles, with brand-new twists and turns introduced into the competition."

With James Thomas, known as Lord Finesse taking the stage, he was all set to show the judges all he had to offer. Interestingly enough, this isn't James' first rodeo, as he was previously seen in Season 11. Ready to give it his all, James that the judges impressed with his contortionist moves, with Jojo Siwa even offering her dad's number, seeing that he is a chiropractor. James got the go-ahead to move on to choreography and fans were excited to see what more he had to offer. 

"Ok so James is made out of rubber! Lol #SYTYCD" tweeted a fan. "Happy that James is going through! I'm sure Brianna will be just as amazing!! #SYTYCD" added another. "Hope James get some redemption this season on #SYTYCD after being eliminated from the choreography round back in Season 11! Which felt like an eternity to me, IMHO." said a fan. 



 



 



 


But, James hadn't come alone, seeing that his girlfriend, Brianna, was all set to audition right after him. James kept hyping her up and was excited to see her perform and rightfully so, seeing that Brianna had the judges thoroughly impressed as well. Fans were glad to see both the couples make it through to the next round!  "Wow Brianna did absolutely incredible!! I loved her performance #SYTYCD" added a fan. "Baby Girl did not come to be pretty on the sidelines, she came to play! Yassss Girl, bring it #Brianna #SYTYCD" tweeted another. "Briana and James are hip hop couple goals #SYTYCD" added a fan. 



 



 



 


'So You Think You Can Dance' Season 17 airs on Wednesdays at 9pm ET/PT.
