Last week, the judge's panel at 'So You Think You Can Dance' saw an abrupt exit and that was of Matthew Morrison. It is now revealed that this came as a consequence of his 'inappropriate relationship with a female contestant.' As the report suggests, this is the reason he was fired. The dance reality show has been airing since 2005 and is into its 17th season now. Throughout its ongoing run, the show has hit the spotlight for many controversies, like when in season 5 when judge Nigel Lythgoe made some homophobic comments.

This time around, a judge has violated the code of conduct. The source told People that the contestants themselves were bothered regarding the behavior of the 43-year-old entertainer. It also claimed that he, "reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media," and also stated that they "didn't have sex" or "met up off-set." Talking about the action taken, the source said that the contestant, "felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got Fox involved." The source added, "He (Morrison) was fired after they did their investigation," she continues, "it was just messages that crossed the line."

Morrison himself addressed the incident in a statement to the outlet. He said, "After filming the audition rounds for the show and completing the selection of the 12 finalists, I did not follow competition production protocols, preventing me from being able to judge the competition fairly. Having the opportunity to be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance was an incredible honor for me. Therefore, it is my deepest regret to inform you that I will be leaving the show. 'I cannot apologize enough to all involved and I will be watching alongside you all on what I know will be one of the best seasons yet."
