'Supergirl' Season 5 Episode 8 sees Kara lock horns with the earth-bender again while Lena continues with Project Non-Nocere
The Leviathan finally had its origins revealed in 'Tremors' and this means things just got serious for Supergirl. With the 'Crisis' and the Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) problem, she has her task cut out for her. The CW has released the official preview for Episode 8: 'The Wrath of Rama Khan', the midseason finale for Supergirl that will air on December 1, one week before the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' crossover.
The episode will see the Girl of Steel have her second showdown with Mitch Pileggi's Rama Khan, an earth-bender tied to Leviathan. According to comic history, the character was created in 2002. The official synopsis reads: "MID-SEASON FINALE – Supergirl’s (Melissa Benoist) struggle against Leviathan reaches a boiling point as she faces off against Rama Khan (guest star Mitch Pileggi). Meanwhile, as Lena (Katie McGrath) and Hope (Andrea Brooks) work to launch Project Non Nocere, Hope proves to be an invaluable asset to Lena. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Lindsay Struman & Jessica Kardos."
The episode preview also implies that Lena is working on Non Nocere and in her AI Hope, now installed into Eve Teschmacher (Andrea Brooks). 'The Wrath of Rama Khan will be the last 'Supergirl' episode as the 'Crisis' saga kicks off from December 8. Going by the comics, 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' was a 12-issue mini-series that focused on the greatest battle in cosmic history. The Anti-Monitor (the Monitor's evil counterpart) is unleashed on the DC Multiverse and begins to destroy the various Earths that it comprises. This leads the Monitor to build an army of superheroes and villains who team up to save all that existed.
