'Sunny' Episode 7 Preview: Sunny's critical condition poses more trouble for Suzie Sakamoto

KYOTO, JAPAN: 'Sunny' Episode 6, released on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, adds fresh excitement to the suspense plot as Suzie faces off against the antagonists for the first time.
The black comedy thriller show has been maintaining mystery around the disappearance and alleged death of Suzie Sakamoto's (Rashida Jons) family in a plane crash.
The further unraveling of Masa Sakamoto's (Hidetoshi Nishijima) secrets sets Suzie on a mission to hunt for the truth.
What happens in 'Sunny' Episode 6?
In 'Sunny' Episode 6, Suzie reports Sunny's kidnapping to the police who fail to provide any help. She is then picked up by Hime's (YOU) gang members and taken to an undisclosed location.
Hime demands that Suzie unlock Masa's computer, threatening to kill Mixxy (Annie The Clumsy) if she refuses. Desperate to save her friend, Suzie makes several honest attempts to guess Masa's passcode and eventually succeeds.
Suzie is then released by Hime. Later, the gangsters drop Sunny at a temple, where she is discovered in a non-functional condition.
Meanwhile, Suzie's mother-in-law, Noriko Sakamoto (Judy Ongg) purposely gets herself arrested under the charges of shoplifting.
When Suzie comes to bail her out, Noriko expresses no intent of getting out and simply asks Suzie to bring her Shogi board so she can play with the other inmates.
What to expect in 'Sunny' Episode 7?
In the upcoming episode, we hope to see further exploration of Mixxy and Suzie's friendship and if they can revive Sunny to get it back to its normal functioning.
For Suzie, Sunny is crucial because it holds memories of Masa that could help her uncover what happened to him.
Meanwhile, we also expect the showrunners to shed more light on Hime and what she plans to do with Masa's computer.
