'Sunny' Episode 6: Why the mysterious Dark Manual may have fallen into the wrong hands
Contains spoilers for 'Sunny' Episode 6
KYOTO, JAPAN: Apple TV+'s latest show, 'Sunny,' has us wrapped up in multiple mysteries simultaneously. While the enigma of Masa Sakamoto's (Hidetoshi Nishijima) secret life as a roboticist remains central to the plot, Suzie Sakamoto's (Rashida Jones) situation becomes increasingly complex.
Everything ties back to Masa, and his alleged death in a plane crash thrusts Suzie into the heart of a big conspiracy. Her friendship with Mixxy (annie the clumsy), a mysterious dark manual, Noriko Sakamoto's (Judy Ongg) secrets, involvement of Yakuza - there's a lot to explore.
In 'Sunny' Episode 6, things finally begin to make some sense as Hime (YOU) finally confronts Suzie about her intentions.
What does Hime want from Suzie Sakamoto in 'Sunny' Episode 6?
Hime kidnapped Sunny in Episode 5 to force Suzie to do something that she might not have done otherwise.
Hime had been spying on Suzie since Episode 1 because she wanted only one thing from her- the password to log into Masa's computer.
As Sunny's existence and Mixxy's life is at risk, Suzie finally gives in to Hime's demand and helps her unlock the computer. As Hime gets what she wants, she releases Suzie and Sunny.
Does Hime finally have access to the dark manual in Apple TV+'s 'Sunny'?
'Sunny' Episode 6 doesn't reveal what Hime actually wanted from Masa's computer but we suspect that it has to be the dark manual.
Dark manual was mentioned several times in earlier episodes. It is a guide to alter the robot's code and could potentially make homebots into killers.
Suzie suspected that Hime wanted the dark manual and yet gave away the access to Masa's computer without thinking of the larger consequences.
But has Hime finally gained access to the dark manual? It's hard to say so! Masa appeared to be too smart to save such a confidential file on his laptop.
Our best guess is that Hime still has a long way to go before she finally gets her hands on the manual. She will reappear in the next episode to chase what she wants.
And for the dark manual, it might be locked somewhere safe, at a place nobody could suspect. Could it be with Noriko Sakamoto, who has been acting weird? Answers await in upcoming episodes.
