KYOTO, JAPAN: Apple TV+'s 'Sunny' premiered on July 10, 2024, and instantly captured the interest of viewers by introducing multiple mysteries.
Besides the uncertain fate of Masa Sakamoto (Hidetoshi Nishijima) and his son, who go missing after a plane crash, the protagonist, Suzie Sakamoto (Rashida Jones) uncovers a secret about her husband Masa and embarks on a mission to uncover the truth.
The debut episodes also introduced suspense surrounding Suzie's stalkers, who have been watching her every move and reporting to their unknown boss, whose identity is subtly revealed in Episode 3.
Hime has her men spying on Suzie Sakamoto in Apple TV+'s 'Sunny'
'Sunny' Episode 3 doesn't serve all the answers on a platter. It demands the keen attention of viewers to catch the hints to know the identity of Suzie's stalker.
Earlier, fans speculated it could be someone from ImaTech or linked to the man killed in Division 5. However, the reveal is something no one anticipated.
Hime, a mysterious young woman, has been pulling the strings so far. She has her men keep a close eye on Suzie's every move.
When in Episode 3, Suzie and Mixxy (annie the clumsy) meet Takumi to know the details of dark manual, a man follows her and later abducts Takumi.
This reminds us of the opening scene of the episode where Hime (You) has a skinny young man held captive and subjected to torture by two men.
Fearing that Takumi must have spilled some confidential details, she probably ordered her abduction. When Takumi divulges nothing, she follows Suzie to the club who discovers a violent side of robots as they are pitted against each other in fights.
Who is Hime in Apple TV+'s 'Sunny'?
Episode 3 maintains mystery around Hime, the new character in the series. However, we can assume that she is a Yakuza which means a member of an organized crime syndicate in Japan.
She is introduced as a brutal woman, who can get someone's limbs and hands chopped off without thinking twice.
Though it’s too early to speculate the crime syndicate could be using the dark manual, probably created by Masa, to code the robots for illegal activities such as killings and unnatural sex.
Fans can be assured of a thrilling watching experience in upcoming weeks as Suzie will delve deeper into this mysterious world of robots and crime.
Three episodes of 'Sunny' are now streaming on Apple TV+
