'Stumptown' Episode 8: Will Dex become 'The Other Woman' in Grey's life after Hoffman questions her about her feelings?

From the title of the upcoming episode and the trailer combined, we believe that this question will force Dex to think harder about her feelings for Grey.

'Stumptown', since its beginning, had us hooked due to various reasons, ranging from its unique story to highlighting of characters who have so far been underrepresented in media. However, the reason we have loved it from the very first watch is also because of the underlying sexual tension between the lead characters Dex (Cobie Smulders) and Grey (Jake Johnson). As many fans have pointed out, the show is giving us a "slow burn" with this couple, and we had geared ourselves up for a wait lasting multiple seasons before they got together, and yet our hopes have been renewed as early as Episode 6 of Season 1. 

The show has given us a premium Dex/Grey/Hoffman (Michael Ealy)/Liz (Monica Barbaro) situation, which is stirring up jealousy in everyone involved. While it has been clear to us from the very beginning that Dex and Grey have a deep connection that goes deeper than friendship, it is also clear that Dex is building something beautiful with Hoffman and Grey with Liz. The jury is still out on Liz, by the way - we refuse to believe this beautiful woman just walked into Grey's bar, asked him out and comfortably wedged herself into his life. 

While Grey has promised Liz that she has nothing to worry about when it comes to his relationship with Dex, Hoffman has not been given this vouch, which we are expecting him to get in the upcoming Season 1 Episode 8. In the trailer for 'The Other Woman', we see him asking Dex about her feelings for her best friend, presumably because of her reaction to Grey starting to date Liz.

It is clear that she has quite a bit of insecurity, and she seems to believe that she wrecks the people that get close to her, and for this reason alone, she might not pursue something real with him. However, it remains to be seen. We know that Grey would be with her in a heartbeat. 

Unfortunately, we have to wait for a while before finding out how Liz and Grey's story is going to evolve in 'The Other Woman', because 'Stumptown' is going on a week-long break and will be back with Season 1 Episode 8 only on Wednesday, December 4.
