'Stumptown' Episode 7: With Liz and Hoffman in the way, will Grey and Liz get together in time for Thanksgiving?

The upcoming episode promises to be a Thanksgiving episode, or rather a Friendsgiving one, wherein Dex and Grey are celebrating together, along with their significant others.

Since the first time we saw Grey (Jake Johnson) and Dex (Cobie Smulders) interacting on 'Stumptown', we have been rooting for the two of them to get together, and it seemed like the only thing in the way of that is the two of them. After sleeping with each other on the night that they met, six years ago, Dex and Grey decided to stay just friends so that nothing can stand in the way of them being in each other's lives. Since then, along with Dex's younger brother Ansel (Cole Sibus) they have gone on to become a small, loving family.

Their tight friendship, however, was challenged in the previously aired Season 1 Episode 5 of the ABC series, when Dex realized that Grey has been hiding pretty dark secrets about himself from her. It took a long time and Ansel's involvement for her to forgive him, and we are still not sure if they are totally cool with each other, and from the trailer for the Episode 7 titled 'November Surprise', it sounds like the animosity is far from settled.

The upcoming episode promises to be a Thanksgiving episode, or rather a Friendsgiving one, wherein Dex and Grey are celebrating together, along with their significant others. Dex takes Detective Hoffman (Michael Ealy) as her plus one, while Grey takes his new girlfriend Liz (Monica Barbaro), and things are...awkward. Pretty on-brand for Thanksgiving if you ask us.

As far as we can tell, neither Dex and Grey have not had any significant others during the course of their friendship, and seeing the other with someone else may be the final straw that allows them to admit their own feelings, at least to themselves. We know that Dex was unhappy as soon as Hoffman walked into their lives, and now Dex seems to be experiencing similar feelings of jealousy because of Liz's presence. It remains to be seen if they will actually get together in the Thanksgiving episode, but we are certainly rooting for it.

Season 1 Episode 7 of 'Stumptown' airs Wednesday, November 13, on ABC.
