Sink joined the series in Season 2 as Max Mayfield. Max at first seemed rude and stand offish but as the season progressed the audience witnessed many sides to her which made them fall in love with Sink's character, here is the list of 5 such qualities of Sink's Max Mayfield.

Max is observant

As we know, Max was the one who witnesses Eddie and Chrissy go into his trailer together and later sees him flee as he got scared of what happened in front of him. Nevertheless, after learning of Chrissy's death, she relays this information to Dustin, so they track down one of Eddie's friends to learn Eddie's location and help him.

Max is empathetic

Be it being the shoulder your friend could cry on or understanding her brother Billy's (Dacre Montgomery). As we witnessed during Season 2 and 3 that no matter how badly Billy used to treat her and hurt her she always had empathy for him as she knew like herself Billy was too a victim of abusive household.

Max can take a stand

Max is portrayed as a very head strong character from very early on, she didn't flinch from speaking her mind or taking stand for her friends. Perhaps, one of the most impressive moments of Max is when she threatens Billy and frightens him away from the Byers' household at the end of Season 2.

Max is courageous

Let's be real Max drove a car for the first time in the hope that they'll be able to help their friends in the Upside Down. Do you want more? Of course you do. Max is the last one to back down from a fight, or calling out people, like the time she called out Mike for controlling El.

Max loves unconditionally

Even though Max is a little rash sometimes, she is very compassionate once people get to know her and once they do Max loves them beyond measures. She takes Eleven under her wing and shows her the ropes of being a girl in middle school, especially one who only hangs out with boys. Although Max was almost killed by Vecna, she was again ready being a bait so that her friends could kill the Hawkins monster.
