'sMothered' Season 4: Fans slam Kathy for interfering in daughter Cristina's life, say ‘go get a hobby’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: TLC’s iconic, hit reality series ‘sMothered’ Season 4 returned to screens last week on August 9. So far, it's been a mix of over-the-top drama, mothers and daughters openly discussing their sex lives, exes, mothers’ protectiveness for their daughters, daughters overprotective of their mothers, and so on. The fans' and audiences' favorite mother-daughter pair has been Kathy and Cristina. They have been loved for their chill and yet adorable bonding throughout.

In Episode 2, Kathy is furious upon learning that her son-in-law Carlos and daughter Cristina are already planning an expansion of their pizzeria because it’s turning more renowned and famous. Expressing her reaction she says, “What are you gonna do? Rip this wall down.” To this Carlos says, ‘Yeah.” Then Kathy replied, “I’m a little putout. I wasn’t consulted about the expansion.” “Sometimes I don’t need your opinion,” Carlos snaps. “You don’ want me to sit here and keep making this bigger so that you could have your time,” Carlos says. “Cause we don’t get any time. That’s the point,” Kathy fires back.

Kathy instead of being a supportive mother did not like her daughter Cristina and son-in-law Carlos’s decision to expand their restaurant because it’s becoming so much more famous. They also decide on putting up a bar counter inside the place. She shouted at both Carlos and Cristina for this decision but neither of them listened to her. This personality trait of Kathy has not settled down well with ardent ‘sMothered’ fans who all took to Twitter and started slamming Kathy for not letting her daughter live a peaceful life with her husband and kids and they also supported Carlos’s thinking citing that nowadays educating kids is so expensive so if they both are wanting to work hard for their kids then it's not really wrong.

As soon as fans noticed this, the majority of them started bashing Kathy for her more than-needed suggestions and interference in her daughter’s personal life on Twitter. They told her to go and find some other hobby and not trouble her daughter.

“Kathy, you are what's wrong in America...Carlo and your daughter are ambitious hard working and trying to make a living for their kid's future and you blabbering and holding them back... go get a hobby!! Work the bar, you would be great #smothered #tlc,” said a fan.

“They’re arguing about the restaurant being so successful that they need to expand? #smothered,” said another fan.

“My thoughts exactly. They're trying to build wealth for their kids. Everyone including the kids usually works in family businesses. You needing someone to go get mani-pedis is not the priority. #smothered,” a fan noted.

“I like Kathy but your right.....this is up to them not her....she would be great behind the bar....,” noted a fan.

“So instead of offering to help at the pizza spot and spend time with her daughter, Kathy would rather be her usual bitchy self and try and sabotage her son in law’s plans. #smothered,” ranted another fan.
