'sMothered' on TLC: How Sunhe and Angelica's 'closeness' caused friction with Angelica’s fiancé Jason
TLC is back again with its fourth installment of 'sMothered'. The show features a mother-daughter duo sharing everything from rooms to personal spaces to such a degree that the cringe-factor is really high.
One of the popular duos that was an instant fan-favourite is Sunhe and Angelica. The duo have been doing the show for almost three seasons now and are probably going to be cast in its fourth one too.

Who are Sunhe and Angelica?
Sunhe (52) and her daughter Angelica (32) have been cast on this hit reality series since its very first season, and their intense closeness has complicated both of their romantic lives. Although, their mother-daughter bond might worry their partners, drama is definitely on the cards.
According to the New York Post, Sunhe is in the beauty business and she lives with her daughter in Las Vegas. Talk about third wheeling, Sunhe has tagged along with Angelica and her long time boyfriend Jason on several of their dates. Sunhe has been quite disapproving when it comes to her daughter dating Jason as Jason is a divorcee. The meddling mother even invited herself to Jason's divorce signing. Sunhe also has a boyfriend, Brett, who is still in the picture in Season 3. So needless to say, Jason has been a reason for most of the arguments that happened between the duo since Day one.
How did the duo's closeness affect Jason?
The mom and daughter are incredibly close, even going so far as to share the same shower. But their relationship causes friction between Angelica and her boyfriend Jason, who is growing increasingly impatient with Sunhe’s involvement in their lives.
We all know how Angelica disclosed her preganacy at the end of Season two. After the news broke, Jason knew it was time to propose and he did. Angelica said yes, and the couple can be seen planning to start their own family in Season 3. The baby (Amara) is born in Season 3 of the reality series. All smooth? Not exactly.
The baby's birth did not improve the relationship between Sunhe and Jason. In a recent interview with the New York Post, Angelica said: "My mom is very protective of Amara, even with me. She’s like ‘You’re not holding her right!’ or ‘She doesn’t like that when you do this!’ If Jason doesn’t do something that my mom is used to, she corrects it. So I think having this baby has made her even more critical of Jason than she was before, unfortunately" The couple is now planning on tying the knot. But what disasters await the duo only fate will decide, or maybe Sunhe. Too hard to say!
