Chanyeol has always got the outpouring support of fans and with the latest development of SM Entertainment suing the social media users who had earlier shared various 'false' rumors against the EXO star, fans are demanding the users to apologize to the singer. According to the latest report, SM Entertainment has sought the help of police in identifying netizens who have been a part of the cheating row controversy.

For the unversed, in October, EXO Chanyeol was accused of 'cheating' by a social media user who claimed she is Chanyeol’s former girlfriend and while being with her, the rapper had been dishonest and he allegedly cheated on her multiple times which led to her heartbreak. While Chanyeol didn't respond to the rumors right away, later in February 2021, the K-pop artist shared a heartfelt letter with fans apologizing for causing concerns: "I thought a lot about how I can protect the precious hearts of EXO-L and how I can make it up to you as well, and I reflected on how I will not cause you worry again.”

SM Entertainment sues social media users

Back in October, when the controversy arose, SM Entertainment clarified their position stating that they would not comment on a singer's personal life. But a Newsen report from May 17 states that entertainment mogul's current stance where they have revealed, "We are suing those who have spread false facts related to Chanyeol, and we know that the police have specified the accused and sent it to the prosecution with the opinion of the prosecution." The company added, "It is one of the complaints against the infringement of artist rights that we are constantly responding to," Newsen reported.



 

The truth behind 'cheating row' rumors

While none of the claims made by the cheating row was proved right, SM Entertainment proceeding to sue the users who spread the news and participated in it, further strengthens the fans claim of EXO singer being a target of malicious anti-fans campaign. After the news of SM Entertainment's suing surfaced, EXO-Ls took to social media to demand apologies from users who participated in dragging EXO Chanyeol through various controversies. A fan said, "Who said Chanyeol should left EXO Who said Chanyeol is a liar Who hated him and his family Who wanted to hurt him but couldn't Now you should apologize to him You made a hard time for the the only angel without any reason... APOLOGIZE TO CHANYEOL!" Another fan noted, "So happy finally Chanyeol got justice. Thank you Chanyeol for staying strong, you are one of the precious human in the world, we never doubted you, we will always be there for you. APOLOGIZE TO CHANYEOL!"



 



 



 

More fans have poured support for the singer claiming that they never stopped believing in him. An EXO-L wrote, "I really hope this man knows we believed in him right from the beginning and never stopped. APOLOGIZE TO CHANYEOL!" Another fan wrote, 'It wasn't easy seeing him continuously getting slandered here and there but i'm proud my trust in Park Chanyeol never wavered, make them pay and then some!"



 



 

Chanyeol is currently serving his mandatory military service and 'The Box' star will be back 2022! According to tentative dates as mentioned, 'Hug Me' crooner will be back by September 28, 2022. Though the 18-months serving period may differ due to different situations, the singer will be able to finish his mandatory military duty within that time frame and with the controversies clearing up, EXO-Ls are looking forward to a brighter start with the singer's return.
