Katy Perry left in 'awe' with Caroline Kole's 'Firework'

Caroline started her audition after giving a little background about herself. The singer shared that she is 25 years old and has been living in Nashville for 10 years. After Katy asked what she do to put food on her table, Caroline revealed that she is a social media manager. However, while she was explaining what she does for a living, Luke Bryan chimed in to ask, "Can she sing Katy?"

Caroline then performs 'Firework' and Katy was left unimpressed in the beginning, saying, "Don't sing it better than me girl." While other judges too didn't like when Caroline started singing, they loved when she picked the chorus. Moreover, Katy started singing with Caroline and told her that she could reach the Top 20.

'She was good-Katy’s songs are tough!'

Social media users shower praise on Caroline. One user tweeted, "Firework is one of my favorite songs by Katy Perry, so I was also holding my breath during Caroline Kole’s performance. She nailed it! It’s so brave to perform one of the judges’ songs." Another wrote on Twitter, "I like the look and personality of Caroline Kole... she can sing... but she sounded off key early one a fair amount... hope it was just nerves and hopefully she kicks ass in Hollywood." A third user tweeted, "She is phenomenal!"
