Why did Mama Dee lose her calm and call 'RHOD' star D'Andra Simmons an 'opportunistic person'?
It is no secret that 'Real Housewives of Dallas' star D'Andra Simmons shares a rocky relationship with her mother, Mama Dee. During the earlier seasons of 'RHOD', we saw D'Andra getting into several fights with her mother over her trust fund and family business. When D'Andra's father passed away, he left the housewife's trust fund under Mama Dee's custody. The housewife will get access to the trust fund money only after Mama Dee's passing, which only ended up worsening their relationship.
D'Andra was also keen on taking over the family business from Mama Dee, but the matriarch wasn't ready to hand over the reins and kept dodging her daughter's requests to transfer the company's ownership to her.

Eventually, Mama Dee handed over the family business to D'Andra and decided to retire. This briefly improved their relationship, unfortunately, this peace didn't last for too long. D'Andra realized that her mother had handed over an essentially failing business to her, which left the housewife fuming. But D'Andra wasn't ready to jump out of the sinking ship, which was her family business and began working very hard to rebuild the brand and make it profitable once again.
The housewife not only managed to turn around the fate of the company, but also launched several new products and made it a successful venture. When Mama Dee saw her daughter work hard and enjoy the fruits of her labor, she began generously praising her daughter and even extended her help by lending some money to further expand the business. So, currently, the mother-daughter duo seems to be in a good place.
But looks like this might not last for too long, as the trailer for the upcoming episode of 'RHOD' revealed D'Andra questioning her mother if she thought that she was just an "opportunistic person who does things for personal gain". Mama Dee replied to her daughter saying she does think of her that way. Looks like we have another epic mother-daughter blowup coming in our way very soon.
Although we aren't shown what led D'Andra to question her mother, we think it might have something to do with the housewife trying to reconnect with her other family. Earlier this season, D'Andra was shown trying to reconnect with her stepbrother and stepmother, after the families experienced a fallout several years ago. We guess Mama Dee wasn't too pleased about it. We will just have to watch the episode to see how everything pans out between the housewife and her mother.
