‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: 'Worst husband' Shane’s horrible attitude towards wife Emily Simpson leaves fans fuming
Shane Simpson is the unfortunate titleholder of "the worst husband” on season 14 of ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’. Shane well earned the title after he continued treating his wife Emily Simpson poorly. Fans have repeatedly cringed at the couple’s interactions and kept stating that Emily should call it quits and find herself a better man. However, our dear housewife chose to stick with him and continues fighting for her marriage for the sake of her three little children.
As a part of her efforts to save her marriage Emily and Shane go on a date, where the beauty gently suggests to her husband that they fight less in front of their children and resume their couples' therapy. Shane doesn’t appear to be too keen to resume the therapy and bluntly refuses suggesting that if Emily wants to go then she can go herself. Aside from that Shane kept taking digs at Emily the entire evening with his back-handed compliments and comments and not to mention his terrible attitude towards her.
By the end of the evening, we see the poor housewife visibly upset. During her green room interview she cries her eyes out about how she is being constantly “disrespected” by her husband, and how for years she has put up with it quietly for the sake of her children.
Fans took to social media to express how much they disliked Shane and repeated their advice to Emily asking her to ditch him. A fan tweeted, “Are you kidding me right now Shane? What an asshole. Throughout the evening Shane kept poking fun of his wife’s weight by trying to tempt her with unhealthy food despite her explicitly telling him that she wanted to avoid them. Most fans are of the opinion that she should leave Shane. “Emily, the only weight you need to drop is Shane. #RHOC”.
