'RHOA' Season 14 premiere provides glimpse into Shereé and Tyrone's complicated relationship
After Shereé Whitfield's boyfriend Tyrone Gilliams threatened to sue 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' for using his name without permission, viewers questioned whether they'd get any more "tea" on him this season. On the Season 14 premiere, Shereé acknowledged her relationship with Tyrone, even if only for a few minutes, and shared where the two are currently (or at least when they were filming this).
Last November, it was revealed that Shereé's boyfriend Tyrone was threatening to sue 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' for using his name in significant storylines without his permission. Tyrone, it appears, had no idea his name had been referenced on the show over the years. Tyrone is seeking to separate himself from the brand now that Shereé has returned, owing to his recent release from prison. Tyrone can't be caught shooting or meeting up with anybody on camera while he's in home confinement and his continual legal problems have strained his relationship with Shereé.

When news of Tyrone's release from prison broke earlier this year, fans rejoiced. During her last season on 'RHOA', Season 10, Shereé hinted at her long-distance relationship with Tyrone. Tyrone and Shereé had a long history of friendship, and he was once the source of conflict between Shereé and NeNe Leakes. Tyrone's name has been featured in the show's early seasons, even though he never physically filmed a part.
Tyrone's prospects of appearing as a guest star were thwarted after he was sentenced to ten years in jail for wire fraud schemes in which he reportedly stole $5 million. Tyrone had been detained since 2011, and he sat in jail for two years before being sentenced. Tyrone was freed from prison in early 2021 after serving ten years and Sheree was overjoyed to see him.
What's the update on Shereé and Tyrone's relationship?
While the girls catch up at a dance studio where Kenya Moore was previously spotted rehearsing, everyone gives an update on their life and shares what's going on at the time. When asked about her relationship with Tyrone, Shereé gives the girls the good news that he's returned, but is currently being held in home confinement in the Philippines. He's been around for a while, and she explained that she owed it to herself to see where and how their relationship progresses, and "if love conquers all." She explains that he is on parole in the Philippines and is unable to visit her in Atlanta. A clip of Shereé conversing with Tyrone on Facetime is also shown, revealing their long-distance relationship.
When the girls learned about her plight, they immediately questioned her about their sexual relationship and how they were surviving with the long distance. Shereé mentions flying to visit him twice a month and describes their sex life as "quick." Shereé also discusses abstinence and how she and Tyrone are using it to work on their decade-long estrangement. Even though the other housewives mock their decision, Shereé believes it is critical for them at this time because she wants to ensure that the guy she is seeing now is the same person he was before going to jail.
