'Reprisal': Release date, plot, cast, and everything you need to know about Hulu's upcoming femme fatale drama
Abigail Spencer, known for her work in 'Timeless' is now returning to your screen as a badass femme fatale out to seek revenge on a gang of people. Described as a hyper-noir story following Spencer's lead character, the Hulu series has already earned rave reviews for its themes of 'feminist rage' and 'genre of era ambiguity'. Coming from Josh Corbin, the show drops just in time for the Christmas holiday season, and will follow a heartwarming tale of revenge and loss a woman meanders through because of family. Reprisal will premiere on Hulu right at the onset of Christmas season, on December 6, 2019.
Plot:
According to the official synopsis of the show, the story is a “hyper-kinetic revenge tale following a relentless femme fatale (Spencer) who, after being left for dead, leads a vengeful campaign against a bombastic gang of gear heads.” Spencer's Katherine Harlow was left to die by her own brother and his gang, but she survives and adopts the name Doris Dearie to live a life of relative peace and quiet. Years later, Doris's niece gets taken by the same gang that tried killing her, thus sparking off her thirst for revenge as she goes on a rescue mission.

'Reprisal' comes from Josh Corbin, who also wrote the series. Jonathan Van Tulleken serves as director while Corbin also served as an executive producer alongside Warren Littlefield and Barry Jossen.
Cast:
Abigail Spencer plays the lead role of Katherine Harlow/Doris Dearie. 12 Years a Slave's Craig Tate plays the role of Earl, who teams up with Doris to take down her brother's gang, and the two bond over past trauma. The series also stars Aladdin's Mena Massoud as Ethan Hart, while Rhys Wakefield and Rodrigo Santoro, Madison Davenport, David Dastmalchian, W. Earl Brown and Gilbert Owuor star in leading roles too.
