'Renovation Island's Bryan and Sarah Baeumler celebrate 6 years of moving to Bahamas with first stay at Caerula Mar Resort
SOUTH ANDROS ISLAND, BAHAMAS: Bryan and Sarah Baeumler of 'Rock the Block' are commemorating their family's six-year move to the Bahamas in a unique way. Sarah recently revealed on Instagram that, for the first time, they would be totally immersed in their stay at the Caerula Mar Club Resort as guests.
On March 18, Sarah posted a video of herself with the caption, "A pretty special moment for Bryan and I so we are soaking it all in. Safe to say I don’t think we’re done yet…."

In the video, she said, "This is a special day for me, and I'm like, Hey, we're gonna share with you guys."
"It was six years ago, on March 26th, that we packed up our lives and moved our family here to the Bahamas to start what was, at the time, just a life-changing experience, a very big project for us that we had never done." She said that they were terrified, especially because they had four children with them.
"Well, it has been six years, but Bryan and I actually have never spent a single night in one of the finished Villas or hotel rooms." They always believed that it was best for the guests, and "we had our own spot, our own unrenovated villa, for the longest time and never took advantage of these beautiful finished villas."
So, after six years, they decided to enjoy the villa and spend spring break with their children to discover what it's like to genuinely experience Caerula Mar.
She promised to offer fans her honest opinion. With the creative process flowing, the pair would utilize their stay to decide: "We still have more to do, or we could fall in love with another hotel."
Do Bryan and Sarah Baeumler still own Caerula Mar Club Resort?
After five seasons of 'Renovation Island', the family was left with Caerula Mar Club, a luxury beach resort ideal for any family or romantic holiday. The website states that they still control the club as of July 2023.
How much does it cost to stay at Bryan and Sarah Baeumler's Caerula Mar Club Resort?
The resort closes for seasonal maintenance every year between mid-August and mid-October, and rates vary based on when you visit. For $425–$555 USD per night during the low season (May to mid-November), $535–$690 USD per night during the peak season (mid-November to end of April), and $645–$830 USD per night during the holiday season (two weeks around Christmas), adults and children 12 and over can, however, reserve a clubhouse room.
If you watch the show, you are aware that Caerula Mar Club also rents out villas and suites from its hallmark collection. If you visit in the off-peak months, the overnight rates range from $690 to $1,260 USD.
The price per night increases to $865–1,570 during the peak season, and to $1,040-$1,885 during the holidays for those same lodgings.
The Caerula Mar Club "is a made-to-measure vacation destination," according to their official website, yet they don't have an all-inclusive meal package. Alternatively, "for a nominal fee," they provide à la carte and customized dining experiences (such as a formal celebration in the dining room or a romantic meal on the beach).
How much did Bryan and Sarah Baeumler spend on Caerula Mar Club Resort?
Andros Island, often known as 'The Sleeping Giant,' is one of the Bahamas' least inhabited islands, with little over 8,000 people. It is home to the world's third-largest barrier reef, blue-hole underwater caverns, and a mythological sea monster.
The island currently features a new boutique luxury resort, Caerula Mar Club. A well-known HGTV reality star pair discovered the once-abandoned property and relocated their family to the island, transforming it into one of the Caribbean's most magnificent new hotels.
Bryan and Sarah, a Canadian design team, were vacationing in the Bahamas with their four children in the summer of 2017 when they stumbled across an abandoned resort. They immediately decided to buy it, hoping to turn the 10-acre coastal property into a luxury hotel.
They eventually relocated their entire family to the island and began the reality series 'Renovation Island' on HGTV. The show followed their lives on South Andros and the property's incredible restoration.
The couple spent over $2 million on the seaside home, which has 18 rooms, 6 villas, a restaurant, a spa, a pool, and a bar. However, they had no clue how much the investment would ultimately cost them.
Despite having a thriving construction firm in Canada, which allowed them to build the property affordably, the couple encountered unanticipated challenges: most supplies had to be transported in, and the site was in poor condition. The makeover was expected to cost roughly $4 million, but they ended up spending more than $10 million.
