Jeremy Renner leaned on music during Covid-19
Popularly known as Hawkeye/Clint Barton from the MCU, Jeremy Renner leaned on the power of music to unite and provide some relief to his fans across the world during the pandemic outbreak and released his first seven-song EP titled, ‘The Medicine’ which included previously released singles; 'Never Sorry,' 'Ghost,' and 'Roses,' 'Every Woman,' 'Best Part of Me,' and 'December Days.' Renner, who was filming the Disney+ series 'Hawkeye' at the time, started working on music after the filming of the series was halted due to the pandemic.
The actor took to social media to tell his fans that he's always found music to be among the few things that can genuinely unite people, adding that identifying common ground in today's world can be complicated, but music has managed to remain a constant for him. Renner continued by pointing out that the capacity to experience deeply, dance passionately, and live together is more prevalent now than ever.
Music has always been Jeremy Renner’s ‘first love’
Back in 2019, the actor spoke to People magazine and said, "My family was my first love, and then music. Acting came into my brain around 20. Music has always been my first love as far as something other than my family." He told the publication that he is always drawn to music and he taught himself how to play the piano, guitars, and drums. "When I was 12, I remember I was in my house, and during the summer we cut out instruments and painted a keyboard and drums all made of cardboard. I put on a show and I charged my sister a dollar and all her friends a dollar to come in and watch us play cardboard instruments. I think I made five bucks!" Renner shared.
He appeared in the 'Sons of Ben' early in his acting career. He managed to perform 'I Drink Alone' for the soundtrack of North Country. Renner sang 'American Pie' and 'Good Ole Rebel' in the 2006 films 'Love Comes to the Executioner' and 'The Assassination of Jesse James' by the Coward Robert Ford. Renner has been a musician for a long time, but his actual music career didn't start until 2018, when he released a cover of 'Crash Test Dummies' song 'Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm' for the end credits of 'Tag,' a film in which Renner plays an important part. Renner appeared briefly on Sam Feldt's October 5, 2018, single 'Heaven (Don't Have a Name)' and on July 10, 2019, he released a single, 'Main Attraction.'
It shouldn't be surprising that Jeremy Renner is a man with a wide range of skills. He was recently involved in a snowplow accident and was airlifted to a hospital in the Reno area, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in serious condition. Renner was treated for chest trauma and orthopedic injuries that needed surgery and over 30 broken bones. He was injured while attempting to rescue his nephew.
'Rennervations' is the actor and executive producer's second TV project to air since the New Year's Day accident, just after the January season two premiere of 'Mayor of Kingstown' on Paramount+. Jeremy Renner had finished the projects before the accident.
Boardwalk Pictures is producing 'Rennervations' for Disney+. Renner, Rory Millikin, Romilda De Luca, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard, Sarina Roma, and Patrick Costello serve as executive producers. Marc Buhaj is the VP of unscripted and nonfiction for Disney Branded Television, and Nicole Silveira is the VP of unscripted content in the company.
