'Reminds me of Knight and Day': Fans slam 'Ghosted' trailer featuring Ana De Armas and Chris Evans
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: This was the moment you all were waiting for so long. Finally, Apple TV+ has dropped the first trailer of 'Ghosted' featuring Marvel star Chris Evans and Marilyn Monroe's biopic movie, 'Blonde' star, Ana De Armas. Evans seems to be on a spree this year. Apart from starring in the action-adventure film 'Ghosted,' by director Dexter Fletcher, the 'Captain America' star is also rumored to play Orin Scrivello, DDS in a new version of 'Little Shop of Horrors'. Additionally, he will star in the action comedy 'Red One,' as well as in David Yates's 'Pain Hustlers' starring Emily Blunt for Netflix.
Although the plot of the movie is kept a top-secret, however, in the new trailer we see Chris Evans as a damsel in need of some serious rescuing from Ana de Armas' master spy. Early reports of the film compare it to the 1980s classic 'Romancing the Stone' which starred Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas whereas some fans now claim it reminds them of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz's movie, 'Knight and Day' after the channel dropped the first trailer.

Romantic gesture turns into a real adventure
The film's trailer follows Cole and Sadie, played by Chris Evans and Ana de Armas, respectively. In the trailer we see after being 'Ghosted' by Sadie, Cole decides to surprise her in London. However, he soon discovers that Sadie is actually a secret agent, which leads to the couple being swept up in an explosive adventure.

After Apple TV+ dropped the trailer, fans were quick to relate its storyline to 2010's 'Knight and Day' which featured Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruise. A fan questioned, "Hmm knight and day remake?" while another fan commented, "Basically a gender swapped version of Knight and Day." A fan wrote, "Looks like a gender role reverse of Knight & Day except has a chance of being good." A fan tweeted, "Oh, my goodness, it is Knight and Day but reversed. Lol," while another fan shared, "Basically a Knight and day remake." A fan posted, "Reminds me of Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz and Ethan Hunt." Lastly, a fan jokingly wrote, "I swear I’ve seen this movie before. What is it? It’s on the tip of my tongue," and shared the poster of 'Knight and Day'.

Joining Evans and Armas are Adrien Brody as Leveque, Mike Moh as Wagner, Tim Blake Nelson as Borislov, Marwan Kenzari as Marco, Anna Deavere Smith as Claudia Yates, Lizze Broadway as Mattie, Mustafa Shakir as Monte Jackson, Tiya Sircar as Patti, Amy Sedaris, and Tate Donovan. Furthermore, the filming of the movie began on February 14, 2022, in Atlanta and Washington D.C., and it wrapped in May 2022. The film is slated for release on Apple TV+ on April 21, 2023.
