NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: 'Captain America' star, Chris Evans, has been declared PEOPLE's 'Sexiest Man Alive' in 2022. After news broke, the actor said, "My mom will be so happy. She's proud of everything I do, but this is something she can really brag about."

Evans added, "It feels like a weird form of humble bragging," reported People. The Hollywood hunk has been linked to a number of famous women. Recently, the actor was reportedly linked to Portuguese actress Alba Baptista.

Rumors of the two dating gained traction as Evans shared a post of two carved pumpkins during Halloween which turned out to be similar to a post by Elsa, Baptista's mother. Evans started following the actress in the fall of 2020 but the actress hasn't followed him back. Then, eventually, in June 2021, she followed him back. Baptista is currently also following Scott, Evans' brother, and Scott's partner and their pet dog's account. Captain America's said that the rumored couple met in Europe when they were both shooting for separate projects. 

However, there were rumors in the beginning of this year that he was dating singer Shakira. Rumors began when the 45-year-old ‘Waka Waka’ singer reportedly followed the actor on Instagram, and in return, Evans followed her back.

In an interview on Shondaland, Evans claimed, "[I’m] laser-focused on finding a partner, you know, someone that you want to live with. I mean, look — I love what I do. It’s great; I pour all of myself into it. But in terms of — even this industry is full of pockets of doubt, hesitation, and recalibration in terms of really trying to find someone that you really can pour all of yourself into. Maybe it’s about trying to find someone that you’re looking to spend your life with. Yes, so maybe it’s that.”

He was also linked with Selena Gomez in 2021. The rumors started after Evans followed Gomez on Twitter and this detail didn't escape eagle-eyed fans who have shipped the couple in the past. This had to do with the fact that Gomez admitted to having a crush on him in the past. “I kind of have a crush on Chris Evans. Isn’t he cute?” Gomez revealed during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' adding, “He’s very cute.” She then wondered if Evans would love or hate the fact that she openly spoke about having a crush on him to which Cohen replied, “I think he’s going to love you!" The actor was also linked with Sandra Bullock for a while.

Despite being linked to these lovely ladies, the actor had dated Jessica Biel, Minka Kelly, Dianna Agron and Jenny Slate in the past. His high profile relationship with Jessica Biel and Jenny Slate are still hot topics in Hollywood, reported Us Magazine. He started dating Biel in 2001 and worked alongside her in two films, 'London' and 'Cellular'. Though their relationship was out in the open, the duo broke up in 2006. He then dated Jenny Slate from 2016 to 2017.

Though they reconciled, things ended for good in 2018. However, a month after their break up, she told to Vulture, "He’s really vulnerable, and he’s really straightforward. He’s like primary colors. He has beautiful, big, strong emotions, and he’s really sure of them. It’s just wonderful to be around. His heart is probably golden-colored, if you could paint it.”
