A couple of days before the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is set to announce its selection of the best in 2020 films (mostly Hollywood and some international), the nominations for the worst in 2020 films (just Hollywood) were announced. Leading the race with eight nominations each for the Golden Raspberry Awards are 'Cats', 'A Madea Family Funeral', and 'Rambo: Last Blood'.

'Cats' is nominated for Worst Picture alongside 'The Fanatic', 'The Haunting of Sharon Tate', 'A Madea Family Funeral', and 'Rambo: Last Blood'. 'Cats' also scored nominations for Worst Actress (Francesca Hayward), Worst Supporting Actor (James Corden), Worst Supporting Actress (Judi Dench and Rebel Wilson), Worst Director (Tom Hooper), and Worst Screenplay (Lee Hall and Tom Hooper).

The movie also received two nominations in the Worst Screen Combo category for "Any Two Half-Feline/Half-Human Hairballs" and "Jason Derulo & His CGI-Neutered 'Bulge'".

'A Madea Family Funeral' scored nominations under Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Tyler Perry), Worst Supporting Actor (Tyler Perry twice), Worst Supporting Actress (Cassi Davis), Worst Screenplay (Tyler Perry), and Worst Screen Combo ("Tyler Perry & Tyler Perry (or Tyler Perry)").

Meanwhile, Sylvester Stallone's 'Rambo: Last Blood' has been nominated for Worst Actor (Stallone), Worst Supporting Actress (Fenessa Pineda), Worst Director (Adrian Grunberg), Worst Screenplay (Matthew Cirulnick and Sylvester Stallone), and Worst Screen Combo ("Sylvester Stallone & His Impotent Rage").

It's interesting to note that 'Joker' is the only film that has been nominated for both the Oscars as well as the Razzies. 'Joker' is nominated for Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property. Other nominations for the category include 'Rambo: Last Blood', 'Hellboy', 'The Haunting of Sharon Tate', and 'Dragged Across Concrete'.

Breaking from tradition, the winners of the Razzie Awards will not be announced before the Academy Awards this year. Rather, the date is yet to be announced.
