'Ray Donovan' Season 7 Episode 3: Ray is spinning Mickey's return from death to his advantage, but the Sullivans could be the wild cards

As far as the rest of the world is concerned Mickey is dead and Ray wants to keep it that way, especially since a dead man cannot go to jail and a dead man cannot be tried for committing murder.

Well, Mickey (Jon Voight) is officially the man who cheated death. After fooling everyone into thinking that he died in an accident that burned the prison bus transporting convicts upstate, Mickey went to Ray's (Liev Schreiber). Of course, all his sons are mourning him when he gets there towards the end of Season 7 Episode 2, along with his granddaughter Bridget (Kerris Dorsey), and it remains to be seen how the rest of them will respond to this, but Ray is definitely confused.

In the upcoming Episode 3 of the ongoing season, however, we will see Ray spinning Mickey's return to his advantage. We know that Ray has been looking for someone to take the rep for the cop Mickey chopped up, and now he has the actual culprit at hand. As far as the rest of the world is concerned Mickey is dead and Ray wants to keep it that way, especially since a dead man cannot go to jail and a dead man cannot be tried for committing murder.

From the trailer for 'Family Pictures', it seems like Mickey is game, and why wouldn't he be, especially if an all-expense-paid trip to the Maldives is arranged for him? However, he also learns about the resurfacing of the Sullivan family in New York, and we all know Mickey is not going to react well to this. He has an age-old rivalry with the family, and now Kevin Sullivan (Josh Hamilton) is trying to cause problems in Ray's life, while his sister Molly (Kerry Condon) is seemingly trying to doublecross him by reaching out to Ray separately.

We can't help but think Molly and Ray had a past together, and they are going to have a future together as well. It remains to be seen how much that is going to affect their respective families.

Meanwhile, Bunchy (Dash Mihok) has become a local hero after intervening in a robbery and saving the people at the medical store he works at. Can he leverage a hike out of this situation? We will find out when Season 7 Episode 3 of 'Ray Donovan' airs on Sunday, December 1.
