The film 'Bohemian Rhapsody', didn't only make Malek an Oscar winner for playing Queen's Freddie Mercury, but it also introduced him to fellow talented actor Boynton, whom he called the 'heart of the film' in his acceptance speech. But long before Malek had met the announcement in those words, word was already out about him being smitten with his costar from 2017. Who is Lucy Boynton?
The 27-year-old Boynton is a British-American actress who made her film debut as the young Beatrix Potter in 2006's 'Miss Potter'Films like 'Copperhead' (2013), 'Sing Street' (2016), 'Murder on the Orient Express' (2017), and 'Apostle' (2018) were all in Boynton's credits before she played Mercury's partner Mary Austin in the biopic, 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (2018). In Netflix's Gwyneth Paltrow starrer dramedy 'The Politician' sees Boynton as Astrid Sloan, and in the upcoming 2021 biopic 'Faithfull', she'll be playing the titular singer Marianne Faithfull.
How did Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton meet?
Malek and Boynton met while working together on 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. A source told Us Weekly, “They met while filming Bohemian Rhapsody in London. He is so into her. He goes and visits her in London all the time.”
First public appearance
Malik and Boynton made their first public debut as a couple through red carpets in January of 2018. It started with a party in London for the ALEXACHUNG Fantastic collection, and then to a Superbowl party in February, and by March they were sitting together on the front seats at the Paris Fashion Week. In April 2018 came Us Weekly's source-based confirmation that the two were in fact dating, and finally in October that year, while attending the Louis Vuitton and Virgil Abloh London pop-up, Malek's arm was wrapped around Boynton's shoulder on the red carpet.

Then came the date night paparazzi snaps with subtle PDA, and at the Critics Choice Awards, they wore matching pale blue looks to present.
After appearing together at the Screen Actors Guild Awards and a Lakers basketball game, the couple walked the BAFTA Awards red carpet.
