LONDON, ENGLAND: Netflix’s new spinoff ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ has left his fans emotional over the unexplained love story of Brimsley and Reynolds. Whilst the character of Reynolds was nowhere to be seen in the original ‘Bridgerton’ series, Shonda Rhimes added a new character and storyline to the prequel royal romance. Sadly, it left the Brimsley and Reynolds love story fans heartbroken and hopeless.
The plot of ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ illustrates the love story of young Brimsley, played by Sam Clemmett (the right-hand man of Queen Charlotte) and young Reynolds, played by Freddie Dennis (the right-hand man of King George III). As picturized in ‘Bridgerton,’ fans can only find older Brimsley still “circling around the Queen”- no pun intended. However, there is not a single glance of older Reynolds, which leave their fans in a forlorn state.

Who is Reynolds in ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’?
Reynolds (Freddie Dennis) is a new character added to the ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story cast.’ He is viewed as King George’s devoted butler and right-hand man. Reynolds is very loyal and protective of the King, and initially, he and Princess Augusta were the only ones who knew about George's struggle with mental illness. The newcomer also had a secretive romantic relationship with Brimsley on the show. His character displays great loyalty, care, and honesty toward his master and lover. However, Reynolds fate is left open-ended in the series, and it is unclear what happened to him as the characters get older.

Brimsley and Reynolds have a secret romantic relationship in ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.’ They are the Queen’s and King's right-hand men, respectively. In the past timeline of the show, their relationship flourishes, and they hint that they could share a lifetime of happiness together. However, it is not clear whether they end up together in the future, as they are never seen together in the present timeline of the show in ‘Bridgerton.’ The fate of Reynolds remains a mystery, and the show does not provide any answers.
Reynold’s unclear fate
The fate of Reynolds is uncertain and unclear in the show. In the final episode of ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,’ Brimsley and Reynolds were last seen dancing together at the ball while in the present timeline, the older Brimsley is seen dancing alone, pretending Reynold is with him. Many people speculate that he might have died, or the couple might have broken up. According to Hugh Sachs, who plays the older Brimsley, there was a scene that was cut where he was going to meet the older Reynolds, who was the love of his life, but they could not stay together for some reason, as per Vulture.
Let’s hope Shonda gives us a surprise to their happy ending in the next season (hopefully if there's a next season).
