Who is Aaron Michael?
Aaron Michael is an American designer. Michael grew up in Moorefield, a small town in West Virginia, and has always had a passion for fashion. After the demise of his mother, he was raised by his grandparents, who made sure he never felt less than others and would always be himself. Aaron is a self-taught designer who cut his first pattern by tracing his body onto fabric while lying on his friend's basement floor. The designer may be one of the toughest competitors set to appear on Season 19 of 'Project Runway' with his years of experience posing a weapon to the rest.
Aaron Michael's fabulous career in drag queen designs
Aaron Michael has made a name for himself in the drag scene with him getting his start designing costumes for drags queens and other performers. In his 20-year career, he has also hosted a weekly drag show at the only gay bar in central Mississippi. In his career spanning over years, he has dressed multiple national pageant winners, university and regional theater actors, and others. One of his high-profile works includes being the designer for Rupaul's Drag Race contestants. Currently, Michael's primary focus is on his two design lines called 'Aaron Michael' and 'Aaron Michael Costume Shoppe'. 2019 was a career-defining year for Michael who showed his designs at New Orleans Fashion Week, which gave him the spotlight and put him on the map. He is set to appear on the latest season of 'Project Runway'.
