Known for her bold colors palettes and aesthetics, designer Katie Kortman made her big debut on Season 19 of 'Project Runway'. Although she came in envisioning that she would win the competition and get to showcase her designs on the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) runway, the designer sadly failed to make an impression not just on judges- Nina Garcia, Brandon Maxwell, and Elaine Welteroth but also the fans.

Since the beginning of the competition, Katie found herself consistently at the bottom. She listened to everybody's opinions and tried to please everybody by incorporating them in her designs, instead of just sticking to her inner voice, and this ended up costing her dearly when the judges decided to send her home on the recently aired episode of 'Project Runway'. The designers were tasked with the challenge of creating a stunning runway look incorporating an accessory designed by a local designer. After managing to escape two eliminations by the skin of her teeth, Katie was looking forward to impressing the judges with her designs and looks, but unfortunately, Katie's look fell flat again.

Katie was paired with a local designer who specializes in vegan leather shoes. She decided to use a heavily printed fabric that she brought from her home for the challenge and created a vibrant and eye-catching asymmetrical dress with a bib collar. The judges were unimpressed with the dress's length and the fabric choice itself. They felt that she should have chosen a lighter and more subtle fabric and added some accessories like a belt or something to add some structure to her dress.

After some deliberation, they decided to send her home as she consistently failed to perform well in the challenges. Fans were pleased with the judges' decision. A fan tweeted, "There is definitely a way to mix color, Mondo was king at mixing bright prints with the tailoring to go with it. Katie needs more time to refine her look. 100% right call to send her home #ProjectRunway." "Please put Katie out of her misery. She's not going to meet the mark, she's failed week after week, and she's damn sure not going to make the finale. No shade. #ProjectRunway," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "We all know Katie is going home stop prolonging this circus #ProjectRunway."

Many fans compared Katie's colorful designs to clown outfits. A fan shared, "I went to Katie’s IG and this was my face. How did she make it on the show in the first place #ProjectRunway." "Please get rid of Katie. I'm really tired of her clown costumes. #ProjectRunway," expressed a fan. Another fan commented, "Katie, stop trying to make Clown happen… #ProjectRunway."
