Intrigued already and wondering if you should binge? Read on to find out everything you need to know to get hooked to the show.

Release date

'Prodigal Son' premieres with Season 2 on Tuesday, January 12. The first episode of Season 2 titled 'It's All in the Execution' will air at 10 pm on FOX, with newer episodes to roll out weekly, same time, on Tuesdays.

Plot

According to the official synopsis given by FOX, the first two episodes will see Malcolm Bright's personal life in utter disarray after his sister's shocking actions. He must take care of her and also protect his mother from a secret that could tear the family apart all over again. And that's just Episode 1, where Malcolm must also find a killer. The second episode titled 'Speak of the Devil', focuses more on Malcolm and Gil Arroyo's relationship as a priest is found murdered in his place of worship, leading Malcolm to grapple with its effect on his own trauma. His sister Ainsley grows worried that their mother Jessica is keeping something from her regarding her relationship with Gil. Will all hell break loose so early on in the season?
