'Power' Season 6 Episode 9: Will Tommy target Kate and Tasha now that Keisha is dead?
Well, LaKeisha (La La Anthony) is dead because Tasha (Naturi Naughton) really did body her in Season 6 Episode 8 of 'Power', and while we saw this coming a few episodes ago, it was still really sad to watch. Tommy (Joseph Sikora) had gotten really get excited about starting a family with her and Cash (Denim Roberson) and was even looking at rings to propose. Unfortunately, what he got at home was not an ecstatic fiancée, but a dead girlfriend who was getting ready to flee.
From everything leading up to the death, we had assumed that Tommy may be the one to kill Keisha, especially since she has been asking him to leave the streets behind. Having come really close to murdering her once before, we had assumed that Tommy would always keep one eye open when it comes to Keisha, but he had come to truly trust and rely on her. He has even built a very special bond with Cash, and had even asked him to go to him if he ran into trouble with anyone - cops or otherwise.
As we know, this is the first time we see Tommy actually coming close to having a real family. He was excited about it, and towards the end, even we started getting excited on his behalf. But, he knew the life he chose, and risks it involved, so can he really complain? Meanwhile, fans are pointing out that what he is experiencing is exactly what Ghost experienced when he killed Angela (Lela Loren) in the Season 5 finale.
However, the question still remains - what is Tommy's next move? He is surely not going to simply move on, right? Will he fight for custody of Cash? Will move to the suburbs with him, and fulfill Keisha's wishes of giving him a safe and secure life? Most importantly, is he going to take revenge on his mother Kate (Patricia Kalember) for ratting him out to Keisha about him murdering his ex-girlfriend and scaring Keisha off or Tasha for pulling the trigger? It remains to be seen.
