'Power' Season 6 Episode 7: Tariq assumes he is smarter than everyone else but Ghost is set to prove him wrong

Ghost is planning to send his son away to school, and even Tasha seems to have reservations about it, but he convinces her to agree

Season 6 Episode 6 of 'Power' saw Ghost (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) forget their differences and make a temporary truce agreement for the sake of the person they both love — Tariq (Michael Rainey Jr.).

Unknown to them, Tariq had advised his "kidnapper" to hold him ransom for $2 million, and as he predicted, the two men moved mountains to save his life, only to realize that they were both played.

With Tariq's truth getting exposed and Ghost finally learning that Tommy was behind Proctor's (Jerry Ferrara) death, the truce no longer stands between them, and we will see the ramifications of that in the upcoming Season 6 Episode 7.

However, what 'Like Father, Like Son' will explore further is the relationship between Ghost and Tariq, who seems to believe that he is smarter than his father.

Tariq is being extremely callous, making deals with the most dangerous men, and planning to build an empire on the ruins of his father's drug business.

He had gone as far as to tell Ghost he too wants the plush life and seeing as he is Ghost's son, that is only a fair wish.

In the upcoming episode, however, we see Ghost making it clear to his son that no matter what he may think, he is not yet smart enough to double-cross him.

Despite his various low points this season, Ghost looks extremely scary at that moment, and anyone in Tariq's place would be thinking twice before agreeing to work for Ghost's enemy, Dre (Rotimi Akinosho).

Not our boy, Tariq though. He seems to be continuing on the same self-destructive path that he has been on for a while.

Meanwhile, Ghost is planning to send his son away to school, and even Tasha (Naturi Naughton) seems to have reservations about it.

He, however, convinces her to agree, claiming this would allow him the kind of opportunities neither of them was privy to at his age. Tariq overhears this conversation, but we are yet to see how he will react to it.

Season 6 Episode 7 of 'Power' airs on Sunday, October 6, only on Starz.
