'Power Book IV: Force' Episode 3: New alliances, family and growth in business
Spoilers for 'Power Book IV: Force' Episode 3 'Firestarter'
It's finally Sunday and the exciting crime drama 'Power Book IV: Force' returned with a brand new episode that was chock full of developments. The 'Power' spin-off series sees Tommy Egan (Joseph Sikora) and his new business endeavors in the windy city after he leaves behind his past.
Previously on 'Power Book IV: Force' we saw Tommy forced to do drug drops alongside Diamond(Isaac Keys ) which got him in contact with quite a few players of the city. Along with surprising introductions he also had a run-in with someone from his past and what to know, it was Liliana (Audrey Esparza)! Yes, that's right a minor character from his days of working alongside Ghost showed up and tried to kill him. Here’s what happened in the third episode and what we thought of it.

'Power Book IV: Force': Who is Liliana? Here's a refresher on the 'Power' character
As we saw in the promo Tommy gives Liliana an ultimatum to either work with him or he'll kill and the smart business-minded lady, of course, chose the side of money and agreed to work with him. This team-up was the start of something big as we see Liliana show the rusty player the ropes once more. This fresh duo made for some fun scenes with their sarcastic banter.
We also saw the Flynn family makes waves as each member dealt with new developments. We see Tommy suggest to Walter( Tommy Flanagan )to diversify to coke rather than just deal pills and looks like the stubborn man might be willing to make a change. Also in the mix is his son Vic (Shane Harper) who although not wanting the drug throne is being pushed deeper into the business. For Flynn it’s a man’s world but there’s one woman he needs to look out for. Liliana’s introduction to the series is for the better and the sassy, smart lady is a delight to watch with her whip-like quick tongue always ready with a comeback. Continuing on the family front, JP’s (Anthony Fleming III) lost son may be closer than he thinks as it's implied that he may be the one who shot out his shop. This development was particularly interesting and we look forward to the unraveling story. Things are going well for Tommy but not for long.
The CBI is onto him, with his car being tailed as well. Add to it the missing owner of the huge stash of drugs Liliana and Tommy are dealing with, and there's definitely danger in store for the two. Remember how we said there's a lady the Flynns need to look out for? Well, it's none other than the daughter of the family Claudia (Lili Simmons), who has her claws out. The woman is passionate, equipped with a plan and ready to do her own thing. We love a strong female character and she is one that definitely shouldn't be messed with. On the whole, a solid watch entailing new bonds, family matters, and growth.
'Power Book IV: Force' returns with a new episode on Sunday at 8 pm ET on Starz.
