'Power Book IV: Force' Episode 1 Review: Tommy begins his journey of taking over Chicago

Episode two of the series saw Tommy(Joseph Sikora) suddenly get jumped in an alley as we see a woman come at him with a knife. Caught off guard at first, we see Tommy recognize her as Liliana( Audrey Esparza )back from New York, with the two getting into a fight as she tries to kill him. He holds her off but their fight is cut short when a police car shows up as he tells her she should have been killed off.

For those who are unfamiliar with her or may not remember her, Liliana was a minor character in 'Power' Season 1 and ran corners for Tommy and Ghost(Omari Hardwick). An incident on the streets led her to get jumped on and cut with her ending up with a scar on her face. Tommy wanted her killed back then because the scar made her recognizable and he feared she would turn on the organization. Although that didn't happen she was given money by Julio(J R Ramirez) to leave New York and we learn that she settled in Chicago.

Later in the episode, we see Tommy come to her house to finish her off with the two getting into a scuffle. He angrily says that whenever Ghost was generous it had come to bite them back. He asks her how she found him to which she says she wasn't looking but had heard of a white man with a blue mustang creating waves and got to know it was him. She thought Tommy was here to kill her which led to her making the first move in the alley as she feared for her life.  As he goes to step on her, she dodges and his foot goes through the floorboard where he discovers a packet of drugs. Looks like Liliana never left the game and holds the power to expose Tommy who is making a fresh start. But the smart player just got dirt on her with him holding some news cards he may use to his advantage as well.

'Power Book IV: Force' returns with a new episode on Sunday at 8 pm ET on Starz.
