The power couple of K-pop has finally released music together. Hyuna and Dawn’s relationship is one for the books. From secretly dating to finding a new home together at PSY’s P Nation, the couple has got fans and non-fans alike rooting for them. Now, they’ve made history. They were the first known K-pop couple to perform together at a year-end award show. And now they’re the first K-pop couple to debut together as a duo with ‘Ping Pong’.

While they were part of the supergroup Triple H with Dawn’s former group member Hui from Pentagon, the two have never actually released an album exclusively together. So, fans were over the moon when it was announced that Hyuna and Dawn would be releasing their first album together titled ‘1+1=1’ with the lead single ‘Ping Pong’. And it doesn’t take a genius to understand that the title means that Hyuna and Dawn make up one entity like soulmates completing each other.

Hyuna and Dawn release 'Ping Pong' music video

Hyuna and Dawn released ‘1+1=1’ on September 9. The album tells a story of love and how it's possible to turn dreams into reality, however big they may be. From the teasers and the press releases, fans already knew it was going to be amazing with Hyuna and Dawn participating in the making of all four songs in the album including ‘Ping Pong’, as well as its music video. Even the music video teaser was quirky and eccentric, perfect for the couple’s aesthetic. And the two did not disappoint.

Like the vibrant and fantastical teasers and concept photos, the ‘Ping Pong’ music video is an amalgamation of glam rock with strong rap verses that complement the moombahton track. The choreography is equally intense as we see the dynamic couple dance together in avant-garde outfits and animated decor. The music video starts off at a 100 and stays there the whole time with every single moment as shocking as the next.

It looks like the couple had fun while filming the music video that referenced Peter Pan and the mermaids’ lagoon. We see them enjoying themselves together as they twerk and freestyle around each other. It should also be noted that they are more than their unconventional gimmicks as they go hard during the dance break with flawlessly synced choreography in the bridge, and perfectly harmonize in the last chorus.

Watch the music video that will leave you breathless:

We always get some form of cute PDA from the couple, but they are getting especially adorable this time with both of them revealing that they always follow each other during their individual promotions. Dawn explained that he somehow always is around Hyuna when she promotes and she follows him when he promotes his music. He added that they take care of each other and give each other strength and it feels nice as if they’re one.

'So good'

Fans couldn’t get over the extraordinary music video as they made tweets like, “I hate love but ...i want what these bitches have. snapped af,” “LOOOK AT THE DANCE .. LOOK AT DAWN !! LOOK AT HYUNA SHES KILLING. IT OMG,” and “THIS SLAPS SO HARD.” Another fan called out the previous agency that had fired them, “Ahhh!!!!!! PING PONG IS SOOOKO GOOODDDDD!!!!!!!...CUBE SEE WHAT YOU LOST LOL HAHAHAHAH.” One was overwhelmed that they would have to meet both Hyuna and Dawn at the same time for the fansign, “WORST NIGHTMARE CONFIRMED.”
