People's Choice Awards 2021: Adele wins Female Artist award, fans say she 'deserved' it
The 47th People's Choice Awards 2021 is underway and one of the winners was Adele who walked away with the 'The Female Artist of 2021'. The 'Skyfall' star pipped fellow nominees Billie Eilish, Cardi B, Doja Cat, Halsey, Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo, and Saweetie to win the prestigious award.
In her acceptance speech, Adele said "Thank you very much People's Choice Awards. This is so lovely. Thank you to all the fans who have been rooting for me, I appreciate it so much. I hope you're having a wonderful night. Happy holidays and hope to see you soon!"

The reactions were all about love and also a sly dig at K-pop star band BTS. "ended BTS yup" read one of the tweets. "Deserved The first of many. We love to see," another wrote. "Adele won female artist at the #PCAs so we MAY be getting to the music categories? Idk, it was a recorded message. This show has no rhyme or reason so far, one of the fans opined. Selena Gomez had some digs against her as well. "Adele wins Female Singer award, and Selena wins Comedy Star award!! #PCAs," a tweet said.
Fans were over the moon. "THIS WOMAN DESERVES ALL OF THAT AND MORE" one of the comments said. "We love to see it , we did it daydreamer's!" a fan remarked.

A few hours prior to the marquee event, Adele was in the headlines when fans were informed they need to wait until Wednesday to make the purchases attributing it to a widespread web crash mid-morning Tuesday. Ticketmaster messaged ticket buyers waiting in the online queue: "Due to an Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage impacting companies globally, all Adele Verified Fan Presales originally scheduled for today have been moved to tomorrow. Impacted fans will receive an email with updated info on their new presale time."
