People's Choice Awards 2019 left the BTS army heartbroken after the immensely popular K-pop band BTS did not win an award, despite fans asserting that they were leading with a high number of votes. Blackpink won Group of 2019 instead, and fans are livid with this decision.

One fan wrote, "The way we worked so hard to increase the voting gap and remain on top just for@peopleschoice to give the award to another group. Absolute bullsht!" Another angry fan went a step ahead and tweeted, "This is the reason why BTS didnt assist they knew from the begging u are clowns and liars , @BTS_twt know that the prize is from they and not talking about that shit u gave im talking about ARMY."

One BTS fan tweeted, "They totally used bts for views and wouldn’t even give them their awards that they clearly won. I’m pissed." Fans also claimed that People's Choice had played "dirty". "How come @BTS_twt didn't win? We won on votes obviously. how come? @peopleschoice you did dirty for our boys!!!"

Others said there was no point voting because it was all "rigged". "We shouldn’t even bother voting anymore for the award shows bts don’t show up to . They ALWAYS know which ones are rigged." A fan pointed out that BTS had an entire stadium booked and they still didn't win for best concert tour. "HOLD UP- BTS HAD A SOLD OUT WW STADIUM TOUR INCLUDING ROSEBOWL AND WEMBLEY YET THEY DIDNT WIN BEST TOUR??? THAT SHT IS RIGGED."

Another tweeted, "This was a fucking joke. BTS was leading but didn't win a single award? Care to explain? The show was rigged and y'all look like clowns."

BTS had been nominated in three categories, ‘Group of 2019’, ‘ Music Video of 2019, and ‘Concert Tour of 2019’.
