'Pennyworth' on HBO: What is next in store for Ben Aldridge's Thomas Wayne?
Jack Bannon has captured the hearts of viewers with his 'Pennyworth' charm since he was introduced four years ago. The Epix series, which moved to HBO for its third episode, was loved by everyone, and in a very short time. In October 2021, the series moved to HBO Max for its third season, which was marketed with the subtitle 'The Origin of Batman's Butler,' and aired on October 6, 2022.
However, the series leads, Jack Bannon and Ben Aldridge, who played Alfred Pennyworth and Thomas Wayne, revealed a lot in a conversation with TV Insider. Bannon's perfectly Michael Caine-like Alfie will be "enjoying" the new era and the fruits of his success as a security expert, while Aldridge, sporting the sexy mustache on TV, hints that Thomas will try to stay out of trouble as a family man after he and Martha (Emma Paetz) got married and have a daughter named Samantha.

During the interview with TV Insider, Jack Bannon talked a lot about the background and time frame of the series to make it easier for fans who've been following the series. Bannon said, "We're moving from a kind of '50s world through the '60s world and we're now in the '70s, I guess you'd say." Ben Aldridge went on to say, "And that is when things start going a little crazy" He's not lying. In the season premiere, we met PWE - People With Enhancements. For example, a man with a robotic arm could very easily turn into the kind of high-tech terror we're used to seeing on the streets of Gotham.
However, as we know Ben Aldridge's Thomas Wayne has been a little aloof and particularly weird. It has been a little confusing to decipher what he wants, and when Aldridge was asked by Entertainment Weekly about his character, he said, "It's a bit of a foreshadowing of what we know is Thomas and Bruce's dynamic: That cold, awkward, father-son relationship," Aldridge says. "We learn a bit of family history there, and their interplay is very tense. Thomas is on the straight and narrow this season, he's a family man and pediatrician, and then Patrick arrives and tries to re-embroil him in dark matters...and succeeds! Kind of."
In the last episode, 'Rhyme N Reason' of 'Pennyworth' Season 3 One month after Martha awakes from Thomas’ attack, there is still distrust between them. But their arguments will have to wait, as Patricia Wayne returns. The art-loving socialite is in London for the new exhibition of Francis Fuchs. After discussing his understandably tense relationship with their father Patrick, Thomas Wayne returns to Gotham to confront him without letting Martha know. Will he come back? Does Thomas succeed in calling a truce with his dad, Patrick?
