Maxine resorts to deceitful means to obtain Norma's conservatorship and extract as much wealth as possible while Norma is alive. Meanwhile, Douglas quits his job and makes a lucrative investment deal to secure their future.

Perry Donohue (Jordan Bridges), Douglas' childhood friend and current ambassador, persuades Douglas to invest in a real estate deal.
To close the deal, Perry introduces Douglas to the Prince of Luxembourg, who agrees to collaborate with him.
Douglas plans to build luxury towers in West Palm Beach by marketing the Prince's name, anticipating that the condos would sell rapidly due to the prestigious association.
However, doubts about the deal arise when Norma's Rolodex reveals that Perry had previously bribed inspectors to cover up fraud in a previous real estate project.
As the deal progresses, Douglas asks Maxine to transfer huge sums of money to the Prince, Perry, and other contractors which raises further suspicions among viewers.
In 'Palm Royale' Episode 6, Robert Diaz (Ricky Martin) presents Douglas with a newspaper article mentioning Nixon ambassador Perry's involvement in a condo collapse scandal. This revelation alarms Douglas, prompting him to hastily leave the club, likely to confront Perry.
