LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The tense, sparingly gory 'Smile' movie distributed by Paramount Pictures that released in 2022 is getting a Part 2, which we are only assuming is to be released this year. 'Smile' accumulated a dedicated fanbase by creating a space in a different kind of horror genre that shows mental health in the light of horror and gore, but with a twist of jumpscares and an enjoyable plot. With 'Smile 2' the expectations are high and the need to have a great storyline is higher.

Recently, director Parker Finn has signed a new studio deal and we'll get to see the development in the story of an emergency room therapist who becomes haunted by a disturbing entity appearing in the guise of smiling people. While fans are excited about the second installment of this supposed franchise, there are some who didn't find the first part as appealing as others.

What will be the plot for 'Smile 2'?

With Certified Fresh 80 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 77 percent score from audiences as well. It is quite obvious that 'Smile 2' would be a sequel and would narrate the story in continuation with the first part, but considering that most of the characters died in the first part, Parker Finn has to find a way to deliver the plot for the upcoming sequel. Most likely, the characters to follow in the new film would be Kyle Gallner as Joel, the cop who Bacon's character Dr Rose Cotter enlists to help her stop the madness. But everything depends on if Gallner would want to return to the franchise to continue to deliver its story. But all-in-all we are sure that the second part would be more terrifying than the last one. Stay tuned till then!

'That first one had potential and flopped'

Fans took to Twitter to express their feelings about 'Smile 2'. One user wrote, "I have no idea why some people hated this movie, there was no reason for it to be good and it was made with a lot of care and non-expositional commentary. Isn’t that what we want out of horror?" while another user chimed in with, "That first one had potential and flopped". A third user expressed their opinion and wrote, "Can't wait to see what they going to do for the promotion for smile 2". Another user wrote, "The first one was a** anyways". "No lie. That first film was overhyped and very mid." expressed another user.
