If you watch 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' then you know how much the talk show host hates President Donald Trump. 'Our Cartoon President' is a comedy series that is based on Trump's actions during its presidency and it reeks of sarcastic humor. Speaking about recent events such as the pandemic, Season 3 of the hilarity returns this September. Here is what we know about the series.

Release date

Season 3 of 'Our Cartoon President' will return on September 13, 2020.

Plot

The official synopsis reads: "From executive producer Stephen Colbert comes this hilarious look into the Trump presidency, animation style. Starring two-dimensional avatars of Donald Trump and his merry band of insiders and family members, this cutting-edge comedy presents the truish adventures of Trump, his confidants and bon vivants. It's a workplace comedy where the office is oval, a character study in search of character, and a timely political send-up of our always-colorful forty-fifth president and his family. Trust us, it's yuge, and you're going to laugh bigly."

Bergman is known for his roles as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck in 'Gremlins 2: The New Batch' (1990), The Joker in 'Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders' (2016) and a narrator in the 'Mike Tyson Mysteries' (@014-2020). His other known works include 'Yabba-Dabby Dinosaurs' (2020), 'Looney Tunes Cartoons' (2020) and 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' (2021), which is in post-production.

Other members of the cast include James Adomian as Sean Hannity, Gabriel Gundacker as Donald Trump Jr, Emily Lynne as Eric Trump, Zach Smilovitz as Steve Mnuchin, John Viener as Mike Pence, Willian Sadler as General Kelly, RJ Fried as Steve Doocy, Stephen Colbert as Wolf Blitzer and many more.

Creators

The series is directed by Mack Williams, Steve Conner, Brett Hall and Tim Luecke. Colbert, RJ Fried, Matt Lappin and Chris Licht are listed as co-creators.

The rest of Season 3 of course will cover the president's response or lack thereof during the Covid-19 pandemic. Of course, the show is a set of digs at POTUS but it does make for hilarious political comedy.
