'Ordinary Joe' Episode 2: What happened to Joe? Jenny shares SHOCKING truth about him

'Chicago PD' Season 9 release date, spoilers and all about long-running NBC show

Through constant flashbacks, we are made to understand how the bomb is dropped on Jenny Banks — her biological son's adoptive parents reach out to her! How does one really comprehend this? Jenny too seemed out of sorts, looking for answers.

Jenny and Joe have known about Zeke since the day they gave him away, but the two have not told their respective spouses until the situation presented itself. While Joe's wife, Amy, is very supportive and understanding, Jenny's husband (and Joe's best friend), Eric, seems to be the exact opposite. In his opinion, he doesn't see what good he gets out of this completely twisted scenario. Eric seems frustrated and upset that he was the last to find out from Jenny, as opposed to Joe's case, where he had told Amy what had happened, right from the start.

When the D-day dawns, Jenny and Joe meet with Zeke and his adoptive parents. He is now a grown up 10-year-old, who sings beautifully and is quite smart. They get ice cream and share small talk. When Jenny asks Zeke if he has any questions for them, he asks why the two decided to give him up for adoption. To this, both Jenny and Joe say that they were not fit to take up the responsibility of raising a child, in any way. They also add that they couldn't be happier that Zeke is under the care of such loving individuals.

It seems like this dynamic should hold strong, as complicated as it already is. Will Jenny's Eric eventually come around? Why did she hide this fact from him in the first place? Stay tuned to know more.

Episode 11 of 'Ordinary Joe' is scheduled to air on January 10, 2022
